Can we request specific clothing or personal items to be placed with the deceased?Yes, families can typically request specific clothing or personal items to be placed with the deceased before burial or cremation. But during the process of embalming we will request family to have the deceased of not wearing any Jewelries on the body. Funeral directors are generally accommodating of such requests and will work with the family to ensure that the deceased is dressed in the desired clothing and that any personal items are respectfully placed with them. These items may include favorite clothing, jewelry, photos, or sentimental belongings that hold significance to the deceased or their loved ones. It's essential to communicate these requests to the funeral director during the funeral arrangement process to ensure that they can be fulfilled accordingly. NOTE: Certain items are typically not allowed in the coffin for cremation, including combustible, hazardous, non-biodegradable, large or bulky, and valuable items.
